1. Website Update
- The updated website was viewed and the feedback was very positive about how professional it looks.
- A page for Pride has been added and will be updated with information about our presence in the Lifestyle Expo.
- Jon agreed to send over some wording to add to the site alongside the Partners In Salford logo
- A link will be added to Salford CVS as our supporter
- Jon agreed to send Lisa an electronic version of last year’s Pride questionnaire so it can be added to the website
- Rob will speak to Geoff Halliday about adding a link to the site for sexual health services in Salford City Council
- The News page is currently blank. It was suggested that a link be added to either the LGF news page or Pink News. Sian agreed to send David a list of possible links
- It was suggested that we have an official launch of the new website possibly advertised via Out NW and Rainbow Partnership newsletter. Sian agreed to look into this.
- Pete will send info re his new band to be promoted on the site as they are an all gay band from Salford. The band will be playing on the main stage at Pride at 3pm on bank holiday Monday
- Mandy agreed to make sure information is sent over to provide a link to Age Concern Salford
- There was a discussion about having a link to the Salford Divisional IAG as the Network Chair is a member of this. Rob will send the IAG info to David
2. Pride
- Lisa will make the suggested amendments to the questionnaire and send it to David.
- Prize draw: Rob and Ben donated a bottle of champagne. Dawn is liasing with Eden about a possible prize. Lisa will write to Sainsbury’s on Regent Rd as they state on their website they are the biggest gay supermarket in Europe. A box is required for the prize draw. Lisa will arrange.
- Freebies for the stall: tattoos, flower highlighter pens, carrier bags, post-its, possibly key rings and rainbow lanyards. Lisa will organise.
- Lisa will buy some rainbow flags for the table and bring the banners for the back drop
- T-shirts – new ones will be purchased in a mix of sizes plus a few extras for additional volunteers. Lisa to do
- Rota: Lisa will circulate the rota and anyone not at the meeting will be requested to add themselves to it
- Passes: Lisa will buy 8 passes and we will also have 2 volunteer passes from Pride
- Lisa will dress the stall on the Friday of Prise – any help much appreciated. Lisa will liase with the Employee’s group about having a co-ordinated theme.
- Rob offered to bag up the freebies into separate days so they aren’t all used on the first day. He also agreed to provide a delivery address during the day
- A final meeting before Pride will be at Eden on Wednesday 26th August at 7pm when t-shirts and tickets will be available
3. AOB
- Rob informed us that in his capacity as an IAG member he has been asked to advise the police on their tactics for the policing of the PSE in Worsley Woods along with local councillors and 2 residents.
